Festival Office

Notice from the MegaBlast Festival Office

The rumor mill has gotten completely out of hand...

We've heard the whispers.

"Are there more kingdoms beyond Verdantia?"
"Will new fighters arrive for future festivals?"
"Who keeps leaving mysterious maps on the Cartographer's desk?"

Officially...

We have absolutely no comment.

Unofficially...

Someone keeps expanding the map while we're asleep.

Every morning there are fresh footprints, half-finished sketches of distant lands, and another stack of paperwork stamped "URGENT: Definitely Not a New Tournament."

We'd also appreciate whoever keeps borrowing the good pencils to kindly return them.

For now, we're focused on making this year's MegaBlast Festival the biggest celebration Verdantia has ever seen.

After that...

Well...

We should probably see where those maps lead.

PS: Whoever authorized sixteen experimental Chaos Bombs... we'd like to have a word with them.

(It's probably also me.)

Project History

From classroom prototype to commercial release

MegaBlast Mayhem began as a university project in 2021 years before its commercial release. The original concept was created by Trevor H. and co-developed with classmate Calvin B. during an introductory JavaScript and Object-Oriented Programming course.

What started as a classroom prototype for a classing 1993 bomberman using the newly learnd java skills evolved into a full PhoenixGold Game Studios' first commercial game and the first playable title set in Verdantia!

The festival ends with one promise: “The adventure continues in Eucalyptus Edge.”
